EXTRA SCOOP rounds up the winners at the 64th annual Golden Globe Awards, presented in Los Angeles on Monday evening, 15 January 2007.
The prizes were spread around a variety of titles, but British talent fared well.
- Helen Mirren – Best Actress (Drama). Dame Helen also took the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Film for her role as Elizabeth I.
- Peter Morgan – Best Screenplay.
- Forest Whittaker – Best Actor (Drama)
- Best Film (Musical or Comedy)
- Jennifer Hudson – Best Supporting Actress
- Eddie Murphy – Best Supporting Actor
- Martin Scorsese – Best Director
- Meryl Streep – Best Actress (Musical or Comedy)
- Sacha Baron Cohen – Best Actor (Musical or Comedy)
- Best Foreign Language Film (Clint Eastwood)
- Best Animated Film (John Lasseter)
Other British actors won Golden Globes for their performances in television dramas: Bill Nighy, Emily Blunt, Hugh Laurie, Jeremy Irons. Congratulations to them all.
